I am a Ph.D. student in the
Bioengineering
(BIOE) department at the
University of Illinois Chicago
(UIC).
Before joining the UIC, I received my Bachelor of
Science in Applied Mathematics from the School of
Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science
at the
University of Tehran.
My research advances AI for various disease prediction and abnormality detection using real-world biomedical images and timeseries data.

Our paper titled Effects of mood and aging on keystroke dynamics metadata and their diurnal
patterns in a large open-science sample: A BiAffect iOS study was e-published in the Journal

I joined
The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson and Johnson
as an R&D Data Scientist Intern to develope the deep-lerning-based anomaly detection
methods for predicting depression relapse using sensor data collected unobtrusively through
acti-watch in-the-wild as well as developing algorithms for engineering non-trivial sleep/awake
period features.
May, 2020:
We e-presented our poster titled Characterizing Passively Collected Real-World Keyboard Dynamics in
Mood Disorders as a Function of Age and Time-of-Day at the 2020 Society of Biological Psychiatry (SOBP).
